Questions We Hear a Lot
What does "100% commission" mean here?
Our fee schedule is the same in Rome, Duluth and Woodstock. You keep your commission instead of splitting it with the brokerage, and you pay $125 a month in dues plus a flat transaction fee per side ($500 on most sales from $70,000 to $250,000, rising $250 for each additional $250,000 in price). Sales of $70,000 or less carry 20% of the gross commission instead. After your first year there's also a $150 risk management fee each March 1 and September 1. Leases, referrals and retainers carry a 10% compliance fee, and that counts toward your cap. Once your transaction fees reach $11,000 in your year, they stop. The $200 compliance fee per side, dues and risk management continue.
Is there a cap?
Yes. Transaction fees are capped at $11,000 per year, counted from your start date with us, not the calendar year. Transaction fees on sales, the 20% fee on sales of $70,000 or less, and the 10% lease and referral fees all count toward it. After you hit the cap, you pay only the $200 compliance fee per side, plus dues and risk management, for the rest of your year. At a traditional brokerage, a 30% split comes off every check, no matter how much you sell. We'll go through exactly what that looks like at Edge in a confidential meeting, with no surprises.
Do I have to travel to get training?
No. ONE University is online and on mobile, and each of our offices in Rome, Duluth and Woodstock gives you local leadership and support.
Can I work with clients outside my office's area?
Yes. Our network covers Northwest Georgia and metro Atlanta, from Floyd County to Gwinnett and Cherokee, and you can serve clients anywhere you're licensed and competent to practice.
